On June 29 2017, Richmond Wellbeing hosted a pop-up Wellbeing Expo, GET ACTIVE. LIVE WELL at the Richmond Wellbeing Centre. Around 180 guests explored ways of being active and healthy in their local communities. Offering free fun, food and entertainment, including African drumming and live music from Richmond’s own Fred Penny and Bouah Kardio, the day was a big success in spreading the message of wellbeing and the NDIS.
With a Treasure Hunt activity encouraging guests to explore the different wellbeing-focused stalls to collect letters spelling out ‘NDIS’, and our NDIS team on hand throughout the event, community members could ask questions about the NDIS and other mental health supports and find out how NDIS services could personally help them or someone they know.
